Photo of the week #32: Since returning from Ottawa last week, both Geoff and I have come down with miserable headcolds. Combined with the rotten weather that we had this weekend, I haven't had a chance to do anything photo-related. Rather than skip my potw entirely though (which would be cheating), I'm posting this quick last-minute snapshot showing how I spent a large portion of my week:

Photo of the week #31: A shot of Geoff from our recent trip to Ottawa. Unfortunately I was very busy with work during most of our time there and so didn't get to take any photos of Ottawa itself. Still had a great trip though! On a side note, the more I look at this photo, the more I like it. I think it's probably my favorite "people" shot that I've taken to date (though I may be a bit biased because of the subject!). Such a great mischievous grin!

Photo of the week #30: Better late than never I guess! Between preparing for and attending a conference in Ottawa last week there hasn't been much time for photography. I grabbed this quick snapshot on our first day in Ottawa - it was just about the only shot that I took during week #30. It's not a great shot, but the b&w treatment helps a bit I think. There were squirrels everywhere in downtown Ottawa, this particular one was running along some power lines:
